Melissa holds a Masters of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto as well as a Bachelors of Science Kinesiology (Honours) from the University of Waterloo. Melissa has worked as an Occupational Therapist since 2003 in a variety of settings. Her passion lies in working with patients with hand and arm dysfunction due to injury, repetitive strain or various chronic conditions to help them maximize their function in every day life. Melissa also loves to work with children and their families in school and community settings to address fine motor and sensory processing challenges.
Melissa has always enjoyed educating other professionals throughout her career and most recently, she has begun teaching as a sessional Professor at Durham College in the OTA/PTA program.
Melissa lives and works in the Durham Region community, is happily married and has two busy growing boys.
